Client

PDP Creative Media Conference

What I did

Social Media Strategy | Community Management | Copywriting | Campaign Management

Objective

PDP’s goal was to maintain its niche status while expanding its audience of aspiring designers and creatives. I needed to engage a highly knowledgeable, design-savvy community, offering content that resonated with their interests while staying true to the conference’s core purpose: providing free, high-quality education.

Key Challenges

PDP’s niche audience of young designers required a strong sense of community and content that resonated with their design-savvy interests. I needed to balance staying true to the niche while engaging both loyal followers and attracting new creatives. High-quality visuals and precise messaging were essential to connect with an audience well-versed in design.

Each year, the conference focuses on a different theme, meaning the entire visual identity had to be reinvented annually while still maintaining consistency with PDP’s core values.

Strategies and Tactics

High-Quality Visuals: Collaborating with a creative director and designers, I helped craft eye-catching posts and ads that aligned with each year’s theme, appealing to the design-focused audience.

Niche Copywriting: I wrote targeted copy for posts, ads, and community management, maintaining PDP's reputation as a niche, high-value event.

Collaborations: Featuring local and global design leaders boosted engagement and credibility across social platforms.

Community Engagement: We focused on fostering genuine discussions and insights, building a loyal, active community year-round.

Results

Over the four years I worked with PDP, we cultivated a new generation of aspiring creatives, while maintaining our core, highly engaged audience.

Although follower growth was not our primary metric, our focus on engagement led to sold-out lectures and workshops every year.

PDP Conference has successfully maintained its niche status while continuously attracting fresh talent, ensuring that it remains a key event for young designers in the region.
